Small Gods Events - January

Happy New Year! This month sees the continuation of our It's Knit! Drop-In Crafters Group, our annual Burns Night celebration, and our book club!

SMALL GODS' NEW YEAR'S EVE - DECEMBER 31: 8PM - 1AM

Join us as we ring in the New Year with an intimate evening of food, drinks, and live music at Small Gods Brewing! Your $60 ticket includes a welcome beverage of your choice, a large spread of cheese, charcuterie, and desserts to nibble on, live music by Small Gods favourite Peter McMaster, and bubbles from Unsworth Vineyards at Midnight. Not only that, but we will be featuring our Late-Night Happy Hour pricing which means all full-pour beers for $6, as well as $10 draught cocktails, glasses of white wine, and full-pour ciders. Purchase your tickets HERE.

IT'S KNIT! DROP-IN CRAFTERS GROUP - JANUARY 14: 6PM - 8PM

A monthly event hosted by Drop-in Writers Group regulars Meg & Evey, where our community can come together to chat, learn, share, and connect while you knit, crochet, embroider, or mend. It's Knit! will be held on a Sunday, mid-month every month, joining the Small Gods Book Club on the Small Gods’ roster of monthly events.

BURNS NIGHT - JANUARY 25: 6PM - 10PM

Hosted by Victoria Cider Co's own resident Scotsman, Wayne Ralph, this year's Burns Night is sure to be even bigger and better than before! Join us as we celebrate Scotland’s most famous poet, Robbie Burns, who died in 1796. Five years after Burns' death, the first Burns' Supper was held, when a group of his friends threw a dinner party to commemorate the poet's life on January 25th (on what they believed to be his birthday). It has been a tradition ever since. Our Burns Night celebration includes:

  • Live Celtic music from Tyler Jame Johnson
  • Feature Beer: A Red, Red Rose Scottish Ale in collaboration with Bartholomew's Public House
  • Specialty Cocktail: Paris Between the Wars (Victoria Cider Semi-Dry, Campari, Scotch, lemon, and simple syrup served over ice)
  • Exclusive Menu Items: Seafood Chowder & Scotch Eggs

If you wish to book a table please email hello@smallgods.ca and we will do our best to accommodate. All other seating will be on a first come first serve basis, based on capacity.

BOOK CLUB, 10TH EDITION - JANURY 31: 6PM - 8PM

A moderated discussion of the 10th edition of our book club featuring Atomweight by Emi Sasagawa, who is also reading at our February 4th Storyteller Series! If you're interested in taking part please sign up by getting a FREE ticket HERE.
