Kayla Czaga is the author of three poetry collections--For Your Safety Please Hold On, Dunk Tank, and Midway. Her work has been short-listed for the Governor General’s Award for poetry and the BC and Yukon Book Prizes’ Dorothy Livesay Award. Her writing has appeared in The Best Canadian Poetry in English series, The Walrus, Grain, Event, The Fiddlehead, and elsewhere. She lives with her wife on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen speaking people, the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations.

Daniel Zomparelli is the founder of Poetry Is Dead magazine. His the author of a book of poems, Davie Street Translations (2012) and a short story collection entitled Everything Is Awful and You’re a Terrible Person, which was nominated for the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize and won the ReLit Short Fiction Award. His collaborative book with Dina Del Bucchia, Rom Com, was published by Talonbooks in 2015. His latest collection of poetry is Jump Scare (2024). Daniel currently lives in Los Angeles and hosts the I’m Afraid That podcast.

Dina Del Bucchia is a writer, podcaster, literary event host, editor and creative writing instructor. She is the author of the short story collection, Don’t Tell Me What to Do, four collections of poetry and a chapbook, Douche Process. She is the Artistic Director of the Real Vancouver Writers’ Series, hosts the podcast, Can’t Lit, with Jen Sookfong Lee and is on the editorial board of the small literary press, fine press.

A limited number and selection of books by the authors may be for sale after the event. We recommend you bring cash if you intend to purchase books but some authors may also use Interac e-transfer. Please feel free to bring any books you may own by any of the authors should you like to have them sign them after the readings!

Ticket revenue from EventBrite ticket sales is used exclusively to pay the writers for their time, creativity and presence. We thank you for purchasing your tickets in advance so we can continue to invite talented, diverse writers to our space and keep this program running.
