Smalltoberfest Weekend
Posted on August 18 2025,

The leaves are changing, the air is crisp, and that familiar autumn excitement is building—it's time for Smalltoberfest! This September 19-21, Small Gods Brewing transforms into Sidney's own celebration of Bavarian tradition, craft brewing excellence, and community gathering.
True to our name, we're bringing you all the joy of Oktoberfest in our own intimate, Small Gods style. From traditional German-style brews to Oktoberfest-inspired food features, we've crafted a weekend that honors the spirit of this beloved celebration while staying true to our Sidney roots.
Featuring
$8 Steins of German-Style Brews
The heart of any Oktoberfest celebration is the beer, and we're pouring 500ml steins of authentic German-style brews for just $8 all weekend long. Whether you prefer the crisp, clean taste of a traditional lager or want to explore other German brewing traditions, our carefully curated selection will transport your taste buds straight to Bavaria, including guest taps from some of BC's most respected breweries, Whistle Buoy, Dageraad, Steel & Oak, and Phillips Brewing & Malting Co.
And here's a special toast to tradition: anyone wearing lederhosen or a dirndl gets $1-Off their steins of cold beer! So dust off those traditional outfits, embrace the festive spirit, and save a few dollars while you're at it.
Chilled Jägermeister Shots
For those looking to add a little extra authenticity to their celebration, we'll be serving chilled Jägermeister in both 1oz ($7) and 2oz ($14) shots. Whether you're toasting new friendships or honoring old traditions, there's something special about sharing a proper Jägermeister toast during Oktoberfest season.
Oktoberfest-Inspired Food Features
In addition to our annual tradition of selling Oktobefested-Sized Warm Soft Pretzels, our talented Chef Jordan has crafted a special Oktoberfest-inspired food feature that brings the flavors of Bavaria to your table. While we're keeping the details under wraps, expect the kind of hearty, seasonal dishes that celebrate both German tradition and our commitment to local, quality ingredients.

Smalltoberfest runs September 19-21, giving you three full days to experience everything this celebration has to offer. Whether you stop by for a quick pretzel and beer after work, gather with friends for a proper Oktoberfest feast, or make it a weekend-long celebration, we'll have the steins ready and the pretzels warm.
Come as you are, or come in lederhosen—either way, you're welcome at our table. Here's to celebrating the season, supporting local craft, and creating new traditions in the heart of Sidney's Book Town.
