The Small Gods Storyteller Series is a monthly event featuring local and visiting writers.
Join us for an evening of literary readings, featuring visiting authors Mallory Tater and Curtis LeBlanc and local island author Meg Todd.

Curtis LeBlanc (he/him) is the author of two poetry collections, Little Wild and Birding in the Glass Age of Isolation (Nightwood Editions) and a debut novel Sunsetter (ECW Press). His work has appeared in Maisonneueve, The Fiddlehead, The Malahat Review, PRISM International, and elsewhere. He lives and works on the traditional, ancestral and stolen territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
Mallory Tater (she/her) is the author of two books—This Will Be Good (Book*Hug Press 2018) and The Birth Yard: A Novel (HarperCollins Ca). She lives and works on the traditional, ancestral and stolen territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations where she teaches at The UBC School of Creative Writing.
Meg Todd (she/her) is a west coast writer who grew up in the Alberta prairies. A two-time finalist for the CBC Short Story Prize, her work has appeared in Ploughshares, Prairie Fire, PRISM international, and elsewhere. Her debut short fiction collection, Exit Strategies, was published by Signature Editions in 2021 and was a finalist for both the ReLit Award and the Danuta Gleed Literary Award. Two years ago, Meg and her husband moved to North Saanich from Vancouver.

A limited number and selection of books by the authors may be for sale after the event. We recommend you bring cash if you intend to purchase books. Please feel free to bring any books you may own by any of the authors should you like to have them sign it after the readings!
Priority Reserved Seating is available for sale through EventBrite. These reserved seating tickets will provide the closest proximity to the readers. General Admission Tickets ($5) be available at the door on the night of the event but seating is not guaranteed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This event has communal seating, so singles and smaller groups may be seated together. For more information, email Sierra at sierra@smallgods.ca before you purchase tickets.
